He made it

Just wanted to let you all know that Bob did arrive safely in Brazil. He had called me just as they were boarding to let me know that the flight was overbooked & they were offering $800 along with overnight stay & food vouchers to alleviate the problem. He had already gotten his seat assignment (business class since he's alone & had the funds available) so he jumped on the plane immediately! He is planning on meeting with 4 churches tomorrow to get things planned out for when everyone arrives in July. Keep praying!

Pre trip in progress

Well, Bob is in Miami, waiting for another 3 hours before his flight to Rio...bored, bored, bored is he! Travel so far has been smooth (knock on wood) - thanks for the prayers!

Trip date are locked

We have officially purchased everyone's tickets - Brandon & Bob will be leaving on the 9th, everyone else is leaving on the 10th. All are returning on the 23rd. Be in prayer, Stanley, one of our biggest supporters has decided not to go this year due to some health issues with one of his daughters - we just got word that she passed away last night. One of our other team members, Rachel, let us know yesterday that her home in Arkansas was struck by lightening. Everyone is okay, but they now face replacing appliances & such that were destroyed. We are getting excited - are you?

Request

We purchased the ticket for Bob's prep trip the other day - he will be in Brazil from May 30th until June 6th. On his way home, he'll be meeting me and the boys in Dallas for a week with my parents before heading all the way home. Pray for safety while traveling, and while in country - and also, many of you remember that his right knee was giving him problems just before the trip last summer...now the left knee (his "good" knee) is swelling up and causing some discomfort...so...pray for healing, and if not healing, the strength to tolerate the pain. He will be meeting with the churches we're working with to set up schedules and rally local support for while the missionaries are there.
